KUWAIT CITY — TheQA has raised $550,000 in a pre-seed round from an undisclosed Kuwaiti family office and strategic angel investors to scale its AI-powered market research platform.

TheQA bills itself as Kuwait's first AI-powered consumer research platform. It runs a panel of more than 20,000 verified members, giving brands a local alternative to the regional and global research houses that have historically priced out smaller Kuwaiti advertisers.

The company was founded by Ahmad Al-Ebrahim, who serves as CEO, and Hussain Al-Nashabah, who serves as CTO. It launched in April 2025. Revenue has grown every quarter in 2026 and is up nearly twofold since January, according to the company. The new capital is earmarked for scaling the platform within Kuwait.

The cheque is small but the signal is not. Kuwaiti venture activity has lagged its Gulf neighbours, and local family offices remain the dominant source of first cheques. An AI-native data business with recurring revenue is a different profile from the food delivery and fintech rounds that have defined Kuwaiti venture so far.

Watch whether TheQA names its backers when it raises a seed round, and whether it expands panels into Saudi Arabia, where the research budgets are an order of magnitude larger. Quarterly revenue disclosure has been its calling card; watch whether the cadence continues.

Zawya first reported the round.
