DUBAI — Transgulf Readymix, one of Dubai's oldest concrete producers, has made a strategic investment in AC3D, a construction 3D printing startup, joining an ongoing $3 million late-seed round targeted to close by the end of 2026. The amount was not disclosed.

This is an operating partnership wearing a cheque. Transgulf, founded in 1997, is licensed to manufacture AC3D's 3D-print concrete mix, and AC3D's mobile precast printers are already working on DP World commercial and infrastructure buildings. DAMAC, Aldar and Dubai Municipality are also on the client list.

AC3D, led by founder Boris Kozlov with four patents to his name, keeps a US holding company above its UAE operating company. Oraseya Capital, the Dubai Integrated Economic Zones' venture fund, invested earlier in the same round.

Dubai wants a quarter of its new buildings 3D-printed by 2030, a mandate written into Decree No. 24 of 2021. Incumbent material suppliers do not invest against regulation; they invest ahead of it.

Expect the round's final close to add at least one more strategic name, and expect AC3D's next factory-scale announcement to come with a government entity attached.

Zawya first reported the investment.
