DUBAI — Wisewell has secured an AED 2 million (approximately $545,000) credit guarantee from the Mohammed Bin Rashid Innovation Fund, a UAE Ministry of Finance initiative.
The support comes through the fund's Guarantee Scheme and is non-dilutive. It will back capital investment, research and development, and work on the company's IoT-based water-purification technology.
Wisewell, founded by Sami Khoreibi, builds smart water-purification systems and claims 17.4 million single-use plastic bottles avoided to date. The company was selected for the Future100 programme and was a top-20 finalist in the Majra Sustainable Impact Challenge 2025.
The structure matters more than the size. Credit guarantees let a federal fund de-risk lending to hardware companies whose capital needs do not fit venture equity, and the Ministry of Finance vehicle has been steadily widening the range of startups it supports this way. For cleantech hardware in the UAE, the scheme is becoming a real financing rail rather than a logo.
Watch whether Wisewell converts the guarantee into a commercial lending facility at scale, and whether MBRIF extends the model to other Future100 hardware companies.
Zawya first reported the guarantee.
