DAMASCUS — Salehli, a Syrian on-demand services marketplace, has raised $100,000 in pre-seed funding led by EBLA Ventures, with Maynger Ventures and angels from Syria, the Gulf and East Asia participating.
The company connects users with verified home-services professionals. It claims more than 3,500 professionals on the platform, over 15,000 users and 10,000 completed service requests, and says it is revenue-generating roughly ten months after launching through the Thimar Program. The funds will support a B2B rollout for companies and institutions, preventive maintenance services, and expansion into more Syrian cities.
The round is EBLA Ventures' second Syria deal in a week, after a $165,000 cheque into Alo Hakeem on 11 October. Small as the amounts are, they mark the opening of a venture pipeline into a market that was closed to institutional capital for more than a decade.
Watch whether Syria's post-war reopening pulls Gulf angels in at scale. If EBLA keeps writing weekly cheques, seed-stage competition for Syrian founders will arrive within a year.
MENA Startup Digest first reported the round.
